Kalathil Lake Resort is owned by Kalathil Resorts Pvt. Ltd, which is promoted by Dr. K Bahuleyan, the first Neurosurgeon from Kerala.  The resort is founded and funded by him with the primary motive of extending financial support to Indo American Hospital, Brain and Spine Centre and also to the various community development projects initiated by him for the socioeconomic health development of his people in the village, utilizing the profit generated from the resort. Indo American Hospital, Brain and Spine Centre is a superspeciality hospital dedicated to neuroscience. This hospital is also founded and funded by Dr. K. Bahuleyan under the auspices of Bahuleyan Charitable Foundation established by him for philanthropic purposes.

The resort is managed by the Board of Directors, consisting of Dr. K. Bahuleyan as Managing Director, Dr.(Mrs.) Indira Kartha and Mr. Saju Bahuleyan as Directors. The day to day operations of the resort is taken care of by a team of professionals who have associated themselves with the cause for which Dr. Bahuleyan has established this resort.
